What is manding?

Manding is the concept that it is possible to get something the puppy wants by performing a behavior. Its a way for us to capture, shape, reinforce and set the puppies up for success, by teaching them how to use gestures to ask for things. You can see in these short video clips, that we are reinforcing the ‘sit’ behavior to get what they want, which in this instance, is a cuddle! We have started calling the pups by their new names - Mandy, Mimi and Harley Jnr! it was a wet day, but they still enjoyed running on the grass today and playing with each other! (Sally is wearing a cone as she had her desexing operation last week - in case anyone was worried about her in the videos!)
