Guardian Opportunity for this chocolate Princess!

We will be picking up this lovely solid chocolate, shaggy girl on Thursday and want to find her a loving forever home. She is 1.5 years old and approximately 7kg. Our guardian families play a very important role in our program - they are caring homes who share in our passion for raising beautiful, well-loved puppies and helping bring the joy of a dog into other families’ lives.

Responsible breeding is incredibly important to us. One of the ways we ensure our dogs always come first is through our guardianship program. We believe this approach allows our breeding dogs to enjoy the very best of both worlds, living primarily as cherished family pets, while also contributing to our carefully planned breeding program in a supportive and loving environment.

A little more about being a guardian family…

Guardian families welcome one of our dogs into their home (there is no purchase cost for guardian dogs). These dogs are usually pick of the litter, and the arrangement works as a partnership between your family and ours for an agreed period of time.

For females, this usually involves up to three litters, with mum staying with us for approximately eight weeks while she raises her puppies. For males, guardianship generally lasts 5–7 years, although boys are only used occasionally. When needed, they typically spend just a couple of hours with our reproductive vet for insemination before returning home the same day.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful guardian families already in our program. We provide ongoing support and stay closely connected throughout the journey. Guardian families are always welcome to be as involved as they wish, including visiting their girl after the puppies arrive.

In many ways, guardianship becomes a truly special experience, where families get to share in the beautiful journey of motherhood with their dog while still enjoying life together as a much-loved family pet.
