Bell training with Sundae’s puppies! Why?

Today, Sundae’s puppies had a fun and clever lesson with our trainer Kylie from Dog Bizness. Kylie introduced them to a special push bell—the kind the pups can press with their paw or nose to make a sound.

Bell training is a wonderful way for dogs to communicate with their families. By teaching your puppy to push a bell, they can give you a clear signal when they want to go outside, need a toilet break, or even when they’d like your attention.

Instead of you having to guess what a puppy’s scratch at the door or restless pacing means, the bell provides a simple, unmistakable sound: “I need something!”

Families can continue with this training at home if they choose to. It’s especially helpful for families who live in units or apartments or for those who don’t have a doggy door, giving your dog a reliable way to let you know when it’s time to head outside.

A Gift for Our Puppy Families

Every family adopting one of Sundae’s puppies will receive a $20 voucher for a private training session with Kylie from Dog Bizness. Kylie personalises training to each puppy’s personality and each family’s needs, so you’ll have expert guidance as you continue bell training—or tackle any other training goals.

Pro Tip for Home: Place the push bell near the door your puppy will use most often. Each time you take them outside, gently encourage them to press the bell with their paw or nose first. Over time, they’ll connect pressing the bell with the action of going out, and before long, they’ll be ringing it all by themselves!
