It’s always such a joy to watch puppies grow and reach new stages of development, and this week Sundae’s little ones hit a big milestone, they had their very first taste of solid food!
Up until now, their nutrition has come exclusively from Mum, but around three to four weeks old, puppies are ready to begin the weaning process. To make it a positive and fun experience, we start them off with a puppy porridge mix, soft, easy to digest, and gentle on tiny tummies. And what better way to introduce them than on a Lickimat!
The Lickimat not only makes mealtime exciting, but it also slows down their eating and provides a calming, enriching activity. You can see in the video just how curious (and messy!) the pups are as they explore this new texture and taste. It’s a wonderful mix of play, learning, and nourishment all rolled into one very adorable moment.
Over the coming weeks, they’ll gradually transition to firmer foods, gaining independence and confidence along the way. But for now, we’re just soaking up the cuteness of those first tiny licks and nibbles!
