A very exciting milestone in Lucy’s nursery this week… the puppies have had their very first taste of “solid” food!
Up until now, Lucy has been doing an incredible job nourishing her babies, and they are all thriving under her care. But as they grow, their little bodies are ready to begin the transition to food alongside mum, and what better way to start than with a gentle, puppy-friendly mousse.
This first introduction is always more about exploration than eating. There were tiny noses dipping in, little paws stepping straight through the bowl, and a few very unsure faces at first! But it didn’t take long before curiosity took over and they began to lick, taste, and enjoy the experience.
Puppy mousse is perfect for this stage, soft, easily digestible, and packed with nutrients to support their rapid growth. Over the coming weeks, we’ll slowly increase the consistency as they learn how to eat more independently, all while Lucy continues to support and guide them.
Moments like these are such a joy to watch. It’s not just about food - it’s about confidence, development, and those first steps toward independence. Don’t you love the “licking” sounds! 🥰
