As breeders, we're always looking for ways to enrich the lives of our puppies and help them develop into well-adjusted, confident dogs. One practice that might seem a little unusual is introducing mirrors to our litters around three weeks of age. So, why do we do it?

It's all about socialization and self-awareness. At this age, puppies are starting to become more aware of their surroundings and interact more with their littermates. The mirror provides a novel visual stimulus and a chance for them to encounter their own reflection for the first time.
